Chef's Dungeon began in 2024, when its founder, Chef, started running games as a professional game master. As the business grew, it expanded into a small
team offering additional services alongside Chef's campaigns and adventures. While we continue to focus on delivering the best experiences possible at the table,
we have also expanded our efforts toward creating resources that improve the experience for the broader tabletop community. Our goal is to build helpful tools,
share TTRPG news, and support game masters, while still offering great campaigns and resources for the players who join our games.
As you are looking at our adventures and wondering how to join your next game, it can be slightly confusing if you're not familiar with playing (ttrpg) tabletop roleplaying games online. There is a few things you will need to get started, but all of the services we use are free for our players. The only cost you will have is your weekly session charge that will be done through (spg) startplaying.games which is a great platform that we use to advertise on and manage payment processing for our adventures. It's a safe and great way to handle processing payments, and has some other cool features for players to make things easier.
To join your next adventure, you will need to follow a few simple steps, and we're here to make that process as easy as possible.
To get started, you'll need access to a computer or laptop. Our Foundry Server does not support mobile devices such as phones or tablets for gameplay,
as they don't provide the tools needed for the full experience. You will also need to have a good headset with a microphone and a few free services
that we list below.
We've been hard at work creating tools for game masters that are actually useful at the table and designed to improve your adventures. By looking at what other creators offer, and what we've personally found missing in our own games, we've been able to focus on tools that solve real problems for DMs and players alike. Our goal isn't to fill the site with features you can already find everywhere else. We're focused on building unique, practical tools that help game masters run better sessions without leaning on AI for everything. You won't find generic AI name generators, instant town builders, or other throwaway features here. We want to create tools that feel thoughtful, original, and genuinely valuable to the people running the game.
Need to hand out rewards on the fly? We have a tool for that. The loot generator is perfect for those quick loot drops, rewards, and speeding up searching enemies bodies.

We support working-breed dogs by donating a percentage of the income from our campaigns and
one-shots. Unfortunately, it's become common for people to “fall in love” with working breeds
through social media, only to later realize how much care, structure, and effort these dogs truly
require. They aren't just house pets — they need purpose, training, and commitment. Because of this
misunderstanding, and issues like reactivity that often stem from improper handling, working breeds
are frequently surrendered and end up in shelters alongside other breeds that receive an unfair
reputation through no fault of their own.
This is Brutus, a 12-year-old German Shepherd. From what I understand, he was surrendered
due to a move. It happens, and I get it. But giving up isn't an option for me. When I found a
rescue that shared that same mindset — never giving up on these dogs — I was inspired to dedicate a
portion of our income to supporting their work rescuing German Shepherds.
Someone has to be their hero, right?
Brutus is a fortunate case. Many others come with far worse stories. I always rescue when I can and
never buy from breeders — not only because it aligns with my values, but because working breeds are
the dogs I prefer to train with and advocate for.
So just know that when you join our campaigns, part of what you're contributing goes directly toward
helping dogs like Brutus — and supporting the rescue, rehabilitation, and future of working-breed
dogs.
These are rescues we believe are doing great work for the German Shepherd community! When we are able to, we try to support these rescues in various ways. Sometimes it's a monthly donation. Other times, It's special events where we donate a huge portion of the income recieved to to the rescues.
